Washington Animal Rescue League - Setting the Standard Add Video
The Washington Animal Rescue League is an incredible shelter. I was lucky enough to visit WARL in 2008 while passing through DC. It is a peaceful, tranquil, spa-like environment. The animals were healthy, happy, and relaxed. I had never seen relaxed animals before in a shelter. There wasn't a single animal nervously pacing, barking, jumping, or hiding. It's nearly impossible to describe the effect it in words - so please watch the video. A shelter like this in Louisville would be fantastic, wouldn't it? 
Imagine a no-stress shelter! The services WARL provides the public and the care they give the animals are also top-notch. I'll be honest, I want a NKL shelter that is just like WARL, with one exception: bigger! What do you think, NKL'ers?
