New Albany/Floyd County Animal Shelter

If you live in Southern Indiana, you cannot foster for Louisville Metro Animal Services, but you can still be involved in improving and saving the lives of animals.

Part of the equation for No Kill success in Louisville is working with shelters and people in Southern Indiana. New Albany/Floyd County's Animal Shelter is working to improve the lives of the animals and can use you help in many ways. See below for more.

Ways YOU Can Help....

Volunteer Orientation: - Held at the shelter the last Thursday of the month from 6 to 7 pm, 215 W. Market St. call 812-948-5355 or visit website www.nafcanimalshelter.org

Walk Dogs or Socialize Cats - these duties can mean the difference between a well adjusted animal that gets adopted and one who has a hard time relating to people. We need help socializing the animals at our Green Tree Mall Location

Foster Program - help provide short term care for animals who need regular medication, are too young for adoptions, or need some in-home socialization like puppy mill dogs, also we offer foster care for animals if the services of the center for women and families are needed by folks in our community.

Special Events and Clinics - the shelter is always has their Wags and Whiskers Wagon out at events around our community and needs Volunteer help with the animals at these events.
